&#13;
On the night of Tuesday 8 September, a huge fire engulfed Moria camp, Europes largest refugee camp on the island of Lesbos in Greece. More than 12,000 people have become homeless, as the fires destroyed both parts of the official camp and the tents in the over-spill areas surrounding the camp. &#13;
&#13;
We started our operations in Greece in October 2015 as the humanitarian situation for people arriving irregularly from Turkey rapidly worsened. Oxfam is currently active in Lesbos island where we run a protection program that, amongst others, provides free legal aid and psycho-social counseling to asylum seekers through partner organisations. We also work with them on advocacy at the Greek, Brussels and member states level.&#13;

Sea Watch, nessuno ci dice dove andare</image:title><image:caption>In this photo taken on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 the Sea-Watch rescue ship sails through the Mediterranean Sea. A private rescue boat with dozens of migrants aboard sought permission for a second day to enter a safe port Sunday, but said so far its queries to several nations haven't succeeded. Another vessel crowded with panicking migrants and taking on water, meanwhile, put out an urgent, separate appeal for help in the southern Mediterranean. Sea-Watch 3, run by a German NGO, said Sunday it has contacted Italy, Malta, Libya as well as the Netherlands, since the boat is Dutch-flagged, asking where it can bring the 47 migrants it had taken aboard. Sea-Watch tweeted that Libyan officials had hung up when it asked for a port assignment. Convention of Human Rights</image:title><image:caption>The European Convention of Human Rights was first established in 1953. Represented here as a legal document, with a judge’s gavel and illuminated with the Blue and Yellow colours of the EEC Flag. The European Court of Human Rights is based at Strasbourg, France. The European Convention on Human Rights, sometimes abbreviated to ECHR, is an international treaty to protect human rights and fundamental freedoms in Europe. All Council of Europe member states are party to the Convention and new members are expected to ratify the convention at the earliest opportunity. The Convention established the European Court of Human Rights. Any EEC person who feels his or her rights have been violated under the Convention by a state party can take a case to the Court.</image:caption></image:image><lastmod>2015-11-15T18:05:23+00:00</lastmod><changefreq>monthly</changefreq></url><url><loc>https://internationallaw.blog/2015/07/27/593/</loc><lastmod>2015-10-27T19:28:29+00:00</lastmod><changefreq>monthly</changefreq></url><url><loc>https://internationallaw.blog/2015/07/06/judgment-n-12015-of-the-italian-constitutional-court-on-the-special-features-of-juvenile-justice-collegiality-and-specialisation-of-the-youth-tribunal-in-criminal-proceedings-against-young-defendan/</loc><lastmod>2015-07-06T13:44:04+00:00</lastmod><changefreq>monthly</changefreq></url><url><loc>https://internationallaw.blog/2015/06/29/the-international-criminal-court-and-the-responsibility-to-protect-is-this-marriage-to-be-performed/</loc><image:image><image:loc>https://internationallaw.blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/betrothed.jpg</image:loc><image:title>betrothed</image:title></image:image><lastmod>2021-07-03T13:26:12+00:00</lastmod><changefreq>monthly</changefreq></url><url><loc>https://internationallaw.blog/2015/06/22/the-african-court-on-human-and-peoples-rights-and-its-case-law-towards-a-supreme-court-for-africa/</loc><image:image><image:loc>https://internationallaw.blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/african-court1.jpg</image:loc><image:title>African
